The late S.M. Lockridge once presented an incredible message, describing our God and who He is. Though God can't be described with just words, this is as close as you can get this side of Heaven.

This sermon kind of reminds me of the Jonathan Edwards "Their foot shall slip in due time" sermon of the last great American Revival. A good message to be sure, for being sure to stay close to God in all things - being dependant upon His great mercy of salvation.

Very well said Lorraine......our youngest is 17 and we are in that transition of releasing....it is hard even the third time around.

Ok, I'll start! "Mixed Nuts" eh? well....that's a good one! I guess it takes one to know one. My father used to kid around and say he found us under a pecan tree. I guess that makes me a pecan! hehehe
It's been a fast trip....through our parenting years. Micah is 19 and has moved out on his own. I can't believe how quick it has gone by. All I can say is cherish those years when they are little and crawl up on your lap for hugs. Enjoy the moments with them asking questions, because all too soon they don't want to know anything from you. Oh, I believe that Micah will be more inclined to come back for counsel as he matures, at least I hope he does. I pray we have the godly wisdom it takes to encourage him as a young man and not try to "tell" him too much. I pray we can encourage him to seek God's will and pray about things. I pray we do the same. Once I heard someone say: "Hold them (children) in your hands loosely, for they are the Lord's and you will one day have to release them." I'm not sure if that's accurately said. Maybe you have another version.
